Meet Dr. Samir Hasan
Education
Working with surgeons at the Shriner’s Burn Center for Children, Dr. Samir Hasan quickly developed a strong interest in reconstructive surgery. After graduating from medical school, he completed an intense 6-year comprehensive integrated plastic surgery residency. During his training, he performed over 2000 procedures covering a multitude of competencies including surgery of the hand, craniomaxillofacial reconstruction, breast reconstruction, nerve surgery, limb salvage, and non-surgical facial rejuvenation.
In his plastic surgery residency, Dr. Samir Hasan found a passion for aesthetic surgery and was hand-picked to undergo an additional year of aesthetic fellowship training in New York, operating in Manhattan and Long Island. Dr. Samir Hasan‘s fellowship was one of 23 highly sought after cosmetic surgery training programs in the country which are accredited by the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. In fellowship, he further honed his surgical skills, completing over 1500 procedures including breast augmentations, breast lifts, breast reductions, mommy makeovers, Brazilian buttock lifts, rhinoplasties, facelifts, and high-definition liposuction.
His research work on breast implant safety is published in peer-reviewed national plastic surgery journals. He is also privileged to have served as the Clinical Assistant Professor in Surgery, helping to educate surgical residents and medical students at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
